Ratings: Major Crimes Rises in Season Five Premiere

By M. Sharpe

501- raydor1 lrMajor Crimes returned up last night, with 3.61 million viewers tuning in to see Captain Raydor and the team solve the murder of a missing teen in the season five premiere. That number is an increase of over 200,000 viewers over the season four winter finale, and easily besting the season four winter ratings highs.

In key demos, Major Crimes fell only slightly from last winter’s highs, to .42 million viewers 18-49.

The growth in total viewers impressive, especially considering Major Crimes move to the 10pm hour this year, where viewership is traditionally 20-30% lower over the 9pm time slot. Major Crimes season premiere numbers also outperformed last week’s Rizzoli and Isles season premiere, which took over Major Crimes traditional time slot.

Major Crimes is all-new this Monday at 10pm/9c on TNT.
