Ratings- Major Crimes Finishes Season Strong Against Football; Wins Night and Week

319- raydor lr On a night where many broadcast programs posted series lows against the College Football Playoffs, the Major Crimes two-hour season finale held its own in the ratings, finishing the season even with their winter average, and wining the night as the Most Watched Scripted Cable Program.  ”Special Master, Pt. 1″ saw 3.73 million viewers tuning in for the much anticipated return of Phillip Stroh, while hour two saw excellent viewer retention, with 3.5 million viewers sticking around for  ”Special Master, Pt. 2″.

Last weeks episode of Major Crimes continued to perform well in time-delayed ratings, coming in as the Most Watched Show across all of cable (including sports and reality) for the week, and beating out sister TNT series The Librarians by more than a million viewers. In Live + 3 day ratings, last week’s outing rose to 7.6 million viewers (+3% over the prior weeks winter best).

Overall in its third season, Major Crimes is reaching a total of 9.4 million viewers per episode across multiple platforms.

Major Crimes will return for season 4 with all-new episodes Summer, 2015.
