Major Crimes returned with a (bean bag?) bang last night, with 3.99 million viewers tuning in to see Captain Raydor and her team combat a string of home invasion robberies in the 4th Season premiere. That marks an increase in viewers of more than 14% over the Season 3 finale in January, and an increase of  over 1 million viewers from the 2014 mid-season premiere. In the 18-49 demographic, the episode stayed steady with last seasons average, with 0.5 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic.

Overall, Major Crimes outperformed all other scripted and sports programs to win the night as the Most Watched Cable Program.

Major Crimes also easily outperformed it’s lead-out program on TNT, the returning series Murder in the First, besting the latters numbers in total viewers and the demographic by 67% and 66% percent, respectively.
