Start the countdown and set those DVR’s, because the team is back!

“Television’s favorite squad of detectives is on the case in Major Crimes, TNT’s powerful crime-drama that ranks as one of basic cable’s Top 10 original series. Major Crimes focuses on how the American justice system approaches the art of the deal as law enforcement officers and prosecutors work together to score a conviction. The elite team is back, headed by two-time Oscar® nominee Mary McDonnell as Los Angeles Police Captain Sharon Raydor, G.W. Bailey as Lieutenant Provenza, Tony Denison as Lieutenant Andy Flynn, Michael Paul Chan as Lieutenant Mike Tao, Raymond Cruz as Detective Julio Sanchez, Kearran Giovanni as Detective Amy Sykes, Phillip P. Keene as tech expert Buzz Watson, Robert Gossett as Assistant Chief Russell Taylor and Jonathan Del Arco as Dr. Morales. Graham Patrick Martin returns as Rusty Beck, the homeless teen who was officially adopted by Captain Raydor last season.

Sharon and the team investigate a murder during the taping of a reality competition show pitting married couples against each other. The case has a profound effect on Sanchez, bringing back memories of his late wife. Meanwhile, Rusty meets Slider’s lawyer, played by Greg Riikaart from The Young and the Restless.

A last-second video purporting to provide the defendant with an alibi alerts the Major Crimes team to the possibility of a conspiracy. Rusty interviews Slider, while Flynn is still living with Sharon due to his injury.

Andy Flynn on her way to Mexico. Meanwhile, Rusty pursues a taboo subject for his next story on “Identity.”

BOOM – Major Crimes Renewed for Season 4!

s3 cast2Major Crimes has been renewed for Season 4!

TNT announced the renewal this morning, with an initial 15 episodes ordered for season 4.

In a press release, TNT president and head of programming Michael Wright said, “Major Crimes continues to be one of the most enduring and popular crime-drama franchises on television.”

Season 3 of Major Crimes has been enjoying a strong summer season, with ratings increased over last years summers run, and outperformed Rizzoli & Isles this past Monday for the first time this summer, becoming the most watched scripted cable offering of the week.

Major Crimes season 4 will begin airing in Summer 2015.

403- “Open Line”

“Open Line” – Monday, June 22, 2015, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)

Major Crimes investigates the murder of a super model with close ties to a pompous celebrity photographer with boundary issues. Meanwhile, Raydor and Rusty give Assistant Chief Taylor a headache when they are served subpoenas for their entanglement in the Alice murder case.
