MAJOR CRIMES (TNT)Major Crimes finished 2015 on a high note, with 3.70 million viewers tuning in for last night’s heart-stopping fall finale. That turn out bests the previous ratings high set several weeks ago for this current batch of episodes, and is a whopping 23% increase in viewers over last weeks episode. It easily won the night as the most watched scripted cable series for the 7th consecutive week.

The episode saw even greater gains in the key demographics, rising 25% over last weeks episode to 0.5 million viewers 18-49.

Despite stiff competition from sports, the primary debates and holiday specials, last week’s episode of Major Crimes continued to outperform all other scripted programming, coming in as the Most Watched Scripted Cable Series of the Week for the third consecutive week. Additionally, Major Crimes was the only scripted series to earn a spot on the list of the Top 25 most watched shows on all of cable for last week.

As we previously reported, last week TNT officially renewed Major Crimes for an initial 13 episodes for Season 5. In their press release, TNT noted that in its current season, Major Crimes is reaching an average of 10 million viewers per episode across all platforms, almost double the total viewership of The Librarians and Murder in the First, whose renewals were also announced. TNT also announced last week that the underperforming Legends and Agent X have both been cancelled.

Major Crimes will return with the last five episodes of Season Four on February 15th, 2016.

MajorCrimesTV.net wishes the cast and crew of Major Crimes, and all the fans a very Happy Holidays.
