The first-ever Christmas outing for Major Crimes brought good cheer and great ratings, with episode 215 bringing in 4.371 million viewers in Live + Same Day, a new series high for this winter season. It won the night as the most-watched scripted basic cable show, and was second only to Monday Night Football for most-watched show of the night on all of basic cable.  Source: TVbytheNumbers

Last weeks episode also continued the positive trend, growing to 5.4 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, and showed huge increases in the coveted advertiser demographics, with 1.8 million adults 25-54 (a 9% increase over the prior week) and 1.4 million adults 18-49 (a whopping 16% increase over the previous). Meanwhile episode 213 grew to a total audience of 5.9 million viewers in Live + 3, and saw a 5% boost in the key demos from the mid-season premiere. Source: TNT Press Release

With less than 3 weeks left in 2013, Major Crimes is on track to finish as one of basic cable’s Top Ten Series of the year.
