Major Crimes hit a new milestone in its penultimate episode of the summer season, with last nights episode bringing in 4.57 million total viewers and becoming the most-watched episode of the season thus far. The episode also won the night as the Most Watched Scripted Cable Program for the 9th consecutive week.
Major (see what we did there!)increases were also seen in the all-important key advertiser demographic, with a 16% increase over the prior weeks episode for a total of 0.7 million viewers 18-49 years old.
The ratings for last nights episode also make it the most-watched episode of any of TNT’s summer programming this year, including Rizzoli and Isles. Major Crimes has consistently outperformed much of the rest of TNT’s summer programming including its Monday night lead-out Murder in the First (2.18/0.3), Proof (2.11/0.3), The Last Ship (2.85/0.8), and Falling Skies (1.93/0.5).
In time delayed ratings Major Crimes continues to show tremendous growth. In Live + 3 viewership episode 407 has thus far risen to 5.82 million viewers, a 37% growth over it’s Live + Same Day impact. Meanwhile in Live + 7 day, episode 406 finished with a total viewership of 8 million (a 6% increase over the prior week). In key demographics the increase with even greater, with 1.7 million adults 18-49 and 2.2 million adults 25-54 tuning in, an increase of 6% and 10%, respectively.
Overall, across all of TNT’s viewing platforms Major Crimes is reaching an average of 10.2 total viewers per episode. In addition, Major Crimes continues to be one of the most-watched cable programs this summer, consistently in the Top 2 Most Watched Scripted Programs Week-to-Week (trading the top spot with fellow TNT series Rizzoli and Isles throughout the summer), as well as claiming a spot in the Top 10 scripted programs for the summer in viewers 18-49 and 25-54.

Malcom-Jamal Warner, Ransford Doherty, Rene Rosado, Sonya Leslie, Nick Clifford, Mark Derwin and Aidan Blain guest star.

Continuing on its winning streak for the summer season, Major Crimes rose again in the ratings last night for the third consecutive week, bringing in 4.4 million viewers, matching its season high and winning the night as the Most Watched Scripted Cable Program for the 8th week in a row.
In key demographics the episode was down only slightly from last weeks season high demo, bringing in 0.6 million viewers 18-49.
Last week’s episode continued to outperform all other cable series, and finished as the Most Watched Scripted Cable Program of the Week. Major Crimes continues to finish first amongst the rest of TNT’s summer slate, including Monday night lead-out Murder in the First (2.18/0.3) Rizzoli and Isles (4.15/0.6), Proof (1.83/0.2), The Last Ship (2.95/0.7), and Falling Skies (2.03/0.5).
In time-delayed ratings, Major Crimes continues to show strong increases week over week. In Live + 3 day ratings Episode 406 has grown 43% to 5.91 million total viewers. In key demographics the impact was even greater, as the episode fully doubled its 18-49 viewership to 1.0 million. Meanwhile episode 405 finished its run by rising 52% over its live numbers to reach 6.125 total viewers. It rose further in key demographics, fully doubling its reach with 1.0 million total viewers 18-49 years old.
With numbers like these, and TNT’s renewal announcement for Rizzoli and Isles last week, can Major Crimes own renewal be far behind?

Major Crimes continued trend with this summers red-hot ratings streak, reaffirming the shows place as one this summer’s most watched cable series. A total of 4.3 million viewers tuned in for last night’s gripping episode, up slightly from the previous week. In the 18-49 demographic the episode brought in 0.7 million viewers 18-49, a 16% increase over the prior week. Overall the episode won the night as the Most Watched Scripted Cable Program for the 7th consecutive week.

In key demographics the impact was even greater, as the episode fully doubled its 18-49 viewership to 1.0 million. Meanwhile across all platforms episode 404 showed even larger gains, finishing with 7.7 million total viewers, and gaining 1.6 million viewers 18-49, and 2.2 million viewers 25-54, a 7% increase for both over the prior week.

With just four episodes left in its summer season, Major Crimes continues to dominate in the ratings this summer. Last night’s episode brought in 4.2 million total viewers, a 5% increase in viewers over the prior week, and won the night as the most watched scripted cable program. Even bigger gains were seen in the key demographics, which rose 20% over last week to 0.6 million viewers 18-49.
Last week’s episode continued to hold up throughout the week, coming in as the second-most watched scripted cable offering of the week, only narrowly missing the top spot to fellow TNT series Rizzoli and Isles. Major Crimes continues to outperform the rest of TNT’s summer slate, including the most recent episodes of Proof (2.0/0.4), The Last Ship (2.99/ 0.7), Falling Skies (1.878/0.4), and fellow Monday-night series Murder in the First, which lost over 50% of the Major Crimes lead-in audience in both total viewers and 18-49 demo.
In time-delayed ratings, Major Crimes continues its stellar performance this summer. In Live + 7 episode 403 brought almost doubled its numbers in both total viewers and key demographics, rising to 6.23 million and 1.0 million, respectively. The episode is projected to rise to over 8.5 million viewers across all platforms. Meanwhile episode 404 saw a 35% increase in viewership in Live + 3 to 6.231 million viewers, the second biggest viewership increase of the week, and a 44% rise in the 18-49 demographic to 1.0 million viewers.
Overall for the 2nd quarter of the year Major Crimes is in the Top Two Original Scripted Series in total viewers, and the Top Ten Original Scripted Series in viewers 18-49, and is reaching an average of 10.1 million viewers per episode this season across all platforms.

Halfway through its summer season, Major Crimes continues to set new records in the ratings, solidifying its status as one of this summers strongest series.
This week’s outing brought in 4.02 million viewers, and easily won the night as the Most Watched Basic Cable Program. In key demographics the episode also stayed steady with the rest of the summer season, with 0.5 million viewers 18-49 tuning in. While the 4th of July holiday weekend caused an expected drop in live+ same day ratings, the drop was minimal and steady with the rest of the summer season so far.
Meanwhile, TNT’s Monday night lead-out series Murder in the First continued to struggle in both total viewers and the demographic, continuing with its week-to-week downward trend, losing over 51% and 60%, respectively, of the Major Crimes audience.
Last week’s record-setting episode of Major Crimes continued to dominate, and finished as the Most Watched Basic Cable Program of the Week, beating out all other scripted, reality and sports programs. Major Crimes continues to top TNT’s other summer programming as well, including the most recent episodes of Falling Skies (1.82/0.4), Proof (2.9/0.4) and The Last Ship (2.6/2.0.7).
In time-delayed ratings, Major Crimes made even bigger gains, with episode 402 increasing viewership by over 96% in Live + 7 day, for a total of 7.5 million total viewers, and a massive 220% increase in key demographics for a total of 1.6 million viewers 18-49. Meanwhile, episode 403 likewise saw significant increases, rising 36% to 5.77 million viewers in Live + 3.
Overall Major Crimes continues to outperform the rest of TNT’s summer slate, with an average of 9.7 million viewers per episode across all platforms.
