Graham Patrick Martin Discusses Acting Career, New Orleans and His Role Major Crimes

1.02-61-rustyIn a new interview with MyNewOrleans.com, Graham Patrick Martin discusses how he got into acting, his first career choice, and about his role as Rusty Beck on Major Crimes.

“Landing the starring role on Major Crimes was “a dream come true. I’m excited to do what I’ve been training for for so long. I enjoy the work you have to put behind a dramatic performance, researching the background and representing a different human life,” he says.

Major Crimes is now the top-rated scripted show on Monday night and was picked up for a second season. Martin plays Rusty Beck, a former rent boy who witnesses a murder.”

Major Crimes Gets Summer Premiere Date!

TNT has announced that Major Crimes will return on Monday, June 10th at 9pm!

The elite team of Major Crimes is back, headed by two-time Oscar® nominee Mary McDonnell as Los Angeles Police Captain Sharon Raydor, GW Bailey as Lieutenant Provenza, Tony Denison as Lieutenant Andy Flynn, Michael Paul Chan as Lieutenant Mike Tao, Raymond Cruz as Detective Julio Sanchez, Kearran Giovanni as Detective Amy Sykes, Phillip P. Keene as tech expert Buzz Watson and Jonathan Del Arco as Dr. Morales. Graham Patrick Martin returns as Rusty Beck, a homeless teen and material witness taken in by Captain Raydor, and Robert Gossett guest-stars as Assistant Chief Russell Taylor. Major Crimes Adds Nadine Velazquez to Cast, Promotes Robert Gossett

The Major Crimes family just got a little bigger!

DeadlineTV is reporting that Nadine Velazquez has been added to the cast for season two as D.D.A. Emma Rios. Emma is assigned to the Phillip Stroh case, and causes controversy with her approach to Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) as a witness in the case, and questions the motivation behind Raydor (Mary McDonnell) being his guardian.

 

1.01 taylorRobert Gossett (Assistant Chief Taylor) has become the second  part-time player from Major Crimes to also been promoted this season to a series regular. Last week it was announced that Jonathan Del Arco (Dr. Morales) will also be a regular this season.

Jonathan Del Arco Promoted to Series Regular in Season Two!

1.5-5-morales1.pngAfter five seasons as a recurring guest star on The Closer and one season of Major Crimes, fan-favorite Jonathan Del Arco is finally being upgraded to a series regular!

According to DeadlineTV.com, Del Arco’s character, Doctor Morales will be a regular character in season two when the show returns this summer.

It is the beginning of the end of the seemingly endless hiatus between seasons on Major Crimes! Last week on Twitter Kearran Giovanni confirmed that season two will begin production on March 20th, and today we have our first bit of information about episode 2.01 including the title and synopsis:
